Training development is to be mindful of existing local and national best practice taking into account:

  1. National Strategy for HIV and Sexual Health
  2. New developments within the Sexual Health and HIV Policy
  3. Recommended Standards for NHS HIV Services
  4. Sexual Health Training Quality Standards
  5. Navajo Training Courses
  6. Assertiveness training for men who identify as Gay

The trainers post will follow the Department of Health recommended Quality Standards for Sexual Health Training, including consistently high quality training for all delegates. 

Training will embrace all issues relating to inequality and discrimination, taking into account:

  1. Gender
  2. Age
  3. Sexuality
  4. Race
  5. Faith
  6. Disability
  7. HIV status

All training should ensure sensitivity towards the abilities and requirements of group individuals, being mindful of their rights to a healthy sex life.
