Aims and Objectives
- The main objective is to reduce HIV/STI infection amongst gay, bisexual and other homosexuality acting men in line also with the National and Blackpool Sexual Health Strategy
- To utilise sessional outreach workers, drawn for the local community to deliver outreach services
- To ensure coverage of 9 hours per week outreach work.
- To distribute health maximising materials (drop cards/leaflets/posters).
- To distribute condoms and lubricant
- To promote access to helping services to meet the sexual health needs of clients contacted (GUM,CNT, HEAL/Body Positive, SHIVER)
- To offer direct health education and support responses
- To increase the take up of HIV and STI screening
- To decrease the incidents of HIV and STI in Blackpool
- To utilise the extensive Lesbian and Gay venues in Blackpool as the vehicle for delivery
- To ensure strategic linkage to Blackpool’s Sexual Health and HIV Strategy delivery
