Welcome to the Blackpool Homeless Community Development Worker and Drugs Project
This is an essential service provided to the homeless drug using community; the need for this service has been identified by several agencies and is used to support their clients. The project is designed specifically to cater for people who have disengaged from services & or are unaware of the services available to them when first arriving in the Town. The main responsibilities are to direct clients to the provisions that are available, and, through a variety of outreach work, i.e. street outreach, community drop in sessions, make contact with and assess the needs of individuals that are:
- Homeless with drug issues
- Drug free but are in need of assistance maintaining their drug free life.
- Someone who needs re-introducing in to services.
- Clients are then assisted to access the service that best suit their needs.
