Progress So Far

The Project started in January 2007 with the recruitment of a fulltime HIV Services Co-ordinator, to be based at the offices of Drugline Lancashire Ltd in Union Street Preston.
The progress made against each of the contract requirements, as of March 2008, are listed below:
Development of corporate advertising materials
- Social Services HIV and AIDS directory updated and re-written, awaiting publication and distribution
- Lancashire County Councils website to contain information from directory including live links to service providers along with an increase in the web profile of key events such as World AIDS Day
- Sector Directory written and distributed
Development of corporate service administration, assessment, monitoring and review procedures.
- Protocols for confidentiality, information sharing and assessment are now being trailed in East Lancashire and Blackpool with the intention that they will be used countywide by the end of 2008
- Performance management frameworks for services are currently under development
Development of service user tools
- Service user forum planned for qtr 1 2008
- Preston Needs Assessment completed February 2008
- Regular attendance at Service User Support Groups
Development of voluntary sector infrastructure tools – policy and practise
- Drafts of Referral, Confidentiality, Information sharing and Assessment policies and protocols are now being trailed.

Development of focus and administration for voluntary sector forum, social work forum and future service user forum
- Voluntary sector forum for Lancashire based service providers now operational and meets bi monthly

Launch of individual and forum meets for voluntary sector services and LCC social work staff
- Bi Monthly Service Development Meetings in Central, East and North Lancashire are now operational; each meeting includes frontline workers from the voluntary sector, Social Services and NHS according to area.
Service resources including leaflets, education and training packs to be confirmed
