Our HIV support workers work closely with the local sexual health nursing team to offer a coordinated package of care to anyone 16 and over living with or affected by HIV. One to one support from a dedicated HIV Practitioner, counselling, advice and information, complimentary therapy and social and support groups.
Whether you are recently diagnosed and don’t know where to turn, or just want to talk to someone about issues you’re facing. You can get support from others in a similar situation by asking to speak to a peer. Whether you are living well or struggling with your condition, there are a range of services on offer to you. Its all free and confidential, just contact us and ask to speak to one of our HIV support workers.

THE RED RIBBON GROUP
The Red Ribbon Group (For those living with and affected by HIV in Blackpool) has gone from strength to strength. With around 16 core members and many others migrating through the service. The group has become almost 100% self sufficient. Fund raising events have been organised and very well received throughout the local community with press coverage and massive local support
The monies that the group raises goes to continue the running of the group and to support day trips and other activities that work towards reducing social isolation.
A full calendar of events for 2017 has been developed with service users and practitioners to offer events focusing on Health and Well-being, Internet Safety and benefits and budgeting as well as a plethora of other outdoor and indoor activities.
