CLASS - Hardship Fund  Previous Document

The CLASS Hardship Fund was set up primarily due to donations and contributions offered by organizations, groups and individuals who wanted to support those infected/affected by HIV/AIDS in Central Lancashire.  Although not a large fund the contributions donated have been used to support those who either have no recourse to public funds or have exhausted all other income streams/charity funds/support grants etc  The support offered has primarily been in the form of food vouchers which has enabled the most vulnerable to purchase a basic need – food.

In September 2009 CLASS staff and volunteers will be raising money to replenish the CLASS hardship Fund.  Staff and volunteers will be challenged to run either 5k or 10k around Preston City Centre and Avenham Park.
